So the slucha asked me to give a shiur about Rebbetzin Jungreis for 30 minutes.
The crowd are mostly secular women (mostly also second generation) and some of who don't speak English (shiur will be in Dutch). Anyhoo I've been told not to emphasize the war, her having children, and her husband. This because a few women weren't able to get children and a few women have lost their husbands. I'm a bit puzzled by this. I have the biography of Rebbetzin en two other books written by herself. I don't want to censor everything, the main focus is her Hineini movement and madison square garden.
But I really don't want to deal with all the sensitivities. The slucha told me that some women are asking for great Jewish women who didn't have children, or for more feminists Jewish women. Well I want to make a kickas$ shiur I'm making a PowerPoint now.
Does anyone have an idea to tell the Rebbetzin message without being told that they need to live frum? I just want to inspire a bit but not to be like 'better then thou' I just want to wake the neshama.

I think just read her books (Jewish Soul on Fire, The Committed Life, Life is a Test) and watch her talks on youtube, and you’ll be able to put something together that is inspiring but not preachy.

When you mention Rebbetzin Jungreis, ah, I think passion, family and reverence for those who transmit our heritage, ahavas Yisrael. If you do as Sequoia suggests, you'll tap into the overarching themes of her life with wonderful stories and who knows, you could transmit the shem Shamayim misaheiv al yada that was her life so well that it will make people want to get to know the Creator and how we can do it too.
Hatzlacha!
