Any good ideas how to keep my preschooler occupied? Dot arts and play dough are great but not for every day.

I have an arts and crafts cabinet. It has colored paper, crayons, markers, regular scissors, jagged scissors, pipe cleaners, buttons, string, beads, sequins, craft sticks, glitter, felt, glue, stickers, paint, ppl poms, crepe paper.

We have a smaller set of drawers with just basic crafts too that's accessible .

And lots of toys, And a couple of videos, and we invite friends.

Sensory bins are great! We do rice (we even dyed it once which was neat), pretend sand (flour & baby oil), and oobleck (corn starch and water), or even just a bucket of water and some water toys. We add small trucks, spoons, drink umbrellas and other objects to the pretend sand and rice bins. My preschooler loves doing this. I spread a plastic tablecloth on the kitchen floor so cleanup is easy.

Does it end up all over the house? How do you work it?

You can give him a box and see what he comes up with. (Car, house, cam cut it to build something etc.)
Magna tiles and Playmobil keep mine occupied for hours
