It’s really a personality thing.
I Bh have a nice size family and I would MUCH rather work than not have a cleaning lady. I hate how I feel when I spend the whole day at home doing “nothing”. I hate that the laundry is endless and never checked off my list as done. I hate that I get upset when my kids make a mess.

A housekeeper every single day does seem excessive.
Keep her for twice a week heavy cleaning, and you will find it easy to take care of the basics now that you are home.
