I just realized that my toddler doesn’t have enough toys to play with. He gets very bored with the ones he has. He had legos, magnatiles, lots of cars and trucks, puzzles, playdough, kitchen and food etc,

Please give me some ideas of toys or games that would keep him entertained?

I was going to suggest all of these! Those are all very entertaining toys. Are you open to having play dates?

I would do play dates but don’t really know anyone where we live. And no relatives nearby. It’s very long days when he’s home alone with me and needs full time entertaining by me.

He has little people to play with but doesn’t seem to be interested.

Teach him. Sit down with him and show him he can make a house/shul/zoo/school with the magnatiles or lego and people or animals

I do. He ends up knocking it over or throwing it.

Does he like them at all but then gets tired of them since they are always available? Put the toys on rotation if so. Only keep a few out at a time and swap them out each week or every other week. Or is he not interested in imaginative play at all? It sounds like most of the toys you have are in that category. Does he like art? Sports? Electronics? Building? Maybe some kind of building set for little kids?

What about large motor activities? A hopper ball, trampoline, tents and tunnel?

I second the idea of rotation. Every new toy is interesting again for a bit. I have for my toddler more or less the same that you have plus a lot of books which he loves and pens for drawing. And duplo (for building a garage, mainly).

He "helps" me with all sorts of things, in the kitchen, with laundry, sweeping, etc. Today he was very into doing my hair, so we spent half an hour with a brush. Last week it was doing dishes, before that it was cleaning spills which he did over and over, for half an hour. Or we play with a ball. Or jump on the sofa. Or hide. Or play tickling.

But the most time we are outside. He loved snow, but now as the weather is waren we go with the little bicycle (without pedals, don't know what it is called in English).

(But honestly, just nothing can replace other children)

Edit: Forgot the piano! Which is not a toy, but the most fascinating thing in the world Wink

Tools! They make the cutest real looking tools that "work" and little boys love them!
