I went out on Shabbos for the first time in a long time and realized that I am totally out of touch when it comes to dressing my 2.5-year-old daughter.

Toddler boys are easier. Just put them in a cute sweater and pants, and they're good. Girls, though? The dresses, the matching headbands and tights, the shoes. It seems to never end, and it's so intimidating to me!

Can you give me some places to shop online for my daughter for Shabbos/Pesach that have decently-priced stuff which won't make her stand out in a crowd? I don't want to dress her to the nines, but at the same time, I don't want to become my own mother (who threw me to the wolves fashion-wise). Links to specific dresses/outfits would be appreciated.

I thought that this stuff started a little older, but apparently 2.5 is young enough...

It has to do a lot with accessories - summer is easier, pretty bobby socks + headband + shoe color that matches

example of full outfits:

+ headband

+ bobby socks
+ gold shabbos shoes

Coral - people put those on their kids for Shabbos? I just have no idea what's considered weekday and Shabbos for kids!

Also, people really get their kids multiple shoe colors?

I got gold sandals and pink sneakers for the summer. You definitely don’t need a shoe to match every outfit.

That's for Shabbos or during the week? My kids usually have one pair of weekday shoes and one pair of Shabbos shoes.

Last year she wore gold sandals for shabbos she had just started walking. If I go upstate for the weekend I’ll probably just let her wear the sandals for shabbos and will get her new shoes for yomtov. I got them in target they have some really cute and cheap styles.

I live in town and I get one pair of shoes, I try to get a neutral color or one that matches most of their outfits. At that age any dress can be considered shabbos as long as it's not denim or very tshirty.

We had to get my daughter one of each because we hadn't realized that her weekday shoes were light-up and couldn't be worn on Shabbos. I'm also not so into getting more than one pair at that age, but her Shabbos shoes were $10.99 from Amazon.

Right now, my daughter's Shabbos shoes are pretty similar to the first ones you posted, but in black.

specifically for summer light colored shoes or sandals are appropriate because they match better then black for the light summer dresses. I don't think ppl. buy multiple pairs of shoes, but they do make sure the dresses match the shoe

If you already have black shoes make sure the dresses you but "go" with black
for example:

+

+ white bobby socks and black shoes

this

https://kidichicusa.com/collec.....8331f

https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....ea1ea

even the 10$ dress I previously posted from h and m but do black bobby socks and headband for bring together

How do you get your dd to keep the headband on? Mine just takes it off and then it either gets lost or broken and I end up annoyed.

Thank you for trying to help your daughter! She's lucky to have a mother who will make sure she always looks cute and put together. If you want cheap outfits, there's another thread with toddler clothes:

I'm talking about her winter Shabbos shoes - they're black. Haven't thought about buying spring/summer shoes yet because there's snow on the ground here!

It's just a totally different world for me... I don't consider $40 for a 2-year-old's clothing "cheap"!

Same here, which is one of the reasons I don't usually buy them! She hates headbands.
