Oh wow that’s annoying that you took off for nothing but glad you didn’t get sick!

I’d be due for the second dose the day before my scheduled c section (a week before pesach...) |
Oh so interesting! Was he saying the 2nd dose somehow brought about labor? Or just the timing worked out that way? I am scared of being in labor and feeling sick but I guess I’m just davening that wont happen. I feel like if I push off the second dose I’ll never get it because who wants to schedule to likely get sick with a newborn to take care? Idk it’s so hard

OP, I recommend that you consider this option.

Yeah it is hard. Im scheduled to get my secone dose and just found out im pregnant. Im bit torn about getting it now
Especially if first dose gives 80-90% protection. Wonder if I could just skip it.

Ask your Ob. Mine didn’t say it brought on labor just that when someone was due and in labor/had a c section with being post second dose it was rough, and not necessary. But speak to your own doctor and let him/her advise according to your situation...

Well you got lucky. I know people who were sick for weeks and many who died.
I'll take 24 hours of fever over that.

I had Pfizer. No reaction at all. Sore arm for a day.
My sons also, no reaction at all. My husband felt a bit 'unwell' for 2-3 days.

Did you have covid itself? If so the first dose usually causes a more severe reaction than the second.

It works the same way with allergens or other vaccines like tetanus. The more times you've had the tetanus shot, the higher chance of a swollen red arm which becomes redder with each vaccine. Just means your immune system is working BH |
Allergies are autoimmune. Hyperactive immune systems suck so I don't understand why you would consider that "working"?

Yes I’m aware that can be one reason to react to the first dose. I did not have covid as far as I know, meaning no symptoms that caused me to get tested. A few times I tested because I came in contact with people who were positive and my test came negative each time. I also did not have the opportunity to test for antibodies so not sure if that was a factor. At any rate, although not common, people who have not had covid have reacted thus way to the first vaccine.

Gotcha. Well I hope that doesn’t happen to me because I’m scheduled for my first dose on tannis Esther.

My mother and all her co-teachers got the moderna shot same time. The only teacher who had any reaction was one with antibodies. The school had even sent home a note they may need to shut school if teachers are ill. But only that one teacher had 24 hour fever.

I've had both doses of Pfizer.
I have CFS/ME, fibro, and arthritis. I figured if anyone was going to have a bad reaction, it was going to be me.
All I got was a bit of a sore spot where the injection was. If was 10x less painful that the tetanus vaccine, and I didn't have any other problems at all.
