I also don't think it will be harmfull to anyone, and all the rumers about what it will harm and do in years time, who ever knows what other things in life bring on to you, like Cell Phones, Wifi, Microwaves and whatever alse, so all this might just be fishyconspiracies

(Like some said Bin Laden was a Jew, This twin towers Israel planned against the Arab world and all other crazy stuff you find on the web)

Same as to fly home, it will be a must to show that you took the vacine already, and as all other students and friends had it too, they don't really have another option.

Maybe the seminaries and yeshivas you know. Don't make a blanket statement.

In the few places I know well, students are being encouraged, but absolutely not forced, to take the vaccine.

Why are schools pushing it? First, because everything suggests that it really works. An epidemic in a dorm can have terrible consequences.

Second, because of the social downsides of not being vaccinated. The kids who haven't had shots risk being quarantined, not joining their peers if and when they go on trips, having to stay in for shabbos because families don't want to host unvaccinated guests, and not being allowed back into the country if they leave for Pesach.

But no one is being forced to do anything, in the places I know of.

The seminaries are not telling the students to do anything they are not doing themselves. I know a few seminary teachers and they have all been told that they need to have a green passport in order to resume live teaching after Pesach.

Of course this might not be the case everywhere, but it seems to be quite common.

Just pass any Kupat Cholim here in JRM, the line of Bochurim and Sem gilrs can be over 100 waiting in line

Seen it myself, and asked them too.

No Yeshive here that has students from abroad will take you back without the Vacine, and Rav Finkel even asked that Bochurim stay here for Pesach.

No wonder the % of Israeli's that have taken it is so high.

Hundreds is rather an exaggeration. I work at one of the clinics where the foreign students come, and on an average day between a quarter and a third of the people coming for a vaccine are foreign students (including married couples where he is in kollel). Probably not more than a hundred or so on any given day.

If anyone chooses to leave the country for Pesach, it currently seems doubtful whether they will be able to come back, regardless of vaccine status. If they are able to come back, the vaccine may give them an exemption from bidud. None of the seminaries or yeshivas want to have to deal with bidud again, especially for only a portion of the students.

Of course, anything can change in six weeks until they would be coming back, but anyone leaving now is risking sacrificing the rest if their year.

OP, is your research from medical professionals or from Google?

You seem to have a lot of anxiety about vaccines. I recommend you stop googling and find a dr. that you trust to speak to in person (and a therapist for the anxiety issue).

My relative is a practicing MD for 40 years. He did all the research about Covid since the beginning of the pandemic and he has been researching the vaccine from the beginning. I spoke to him and he absolutely recommends that everyone take it, especially pregnant women.

He is not being paid any money to recommend the vaccine. He told all of his relatives, including his own sons and daughters (even the age of your daughter) to take it and he took it himself.

What I’m having a hard time understanding is why she needs the vaccine if she have it last year at home. Israel is not recognizing the antibodies but it did protect her from getting corona again twice when different roommates had the virus.

Because there are now different strains and you can get one of those despite antibodies from plain old covid.

I am aware of smartphone, wifi, and all EMF concerns. I certainly do not WEAR a smartphone, and I try to protect myself within reason. I also eat healthy.

I understand that people had terrible things happen to them from COVID. That is very sad. My doctor and doctors high up in the NIH feel the risk to an 18 year old is greater from the vaccine than from the disease.

Since these doctors have smartphones, mine might wear one, I would have to check, I'm guessing he feels the risks of the vaccine are greater than the EMF concern, because he is aware of EMF concerns. If you are truly interested, I can ask. I'm 100% certain he thinks the risk of a fertility issue from the vaccine is greater than the risk of a fertility issue from a smartphone.

There are ways to fight COVID. Poorer countries that cannot afford vaccines had significantly lower death rates than countries with vaccine. There are successful protocols in United States that were taboo'd because of politics and big pharma. If anyone requests info on this, I can share.

My doctor said absolutely not for a female that wants to have children. I was actually about to give in before I asked him. It was whistleblowers from Pfizer that actually worked on the vaccine that questioned whether it may impact fertility. They begged Pfizer to look into this before making the vaccine available, but the request fell on deaf ears.

I don't think it's an anxiety issue. Thanks. There are real questions about the safety of the vaccine. For an 18 year old the risk is greater on the side of taking the vaccine. Now that she took it, I hope she will be ok. I think a mother not wanting a child to take a health and fertility risk is not a symptom of anxiety, though it's not a happy feeling when she takes the risk. I think I'm actually pretty un-anxious. Time to get spiritual.

I do believe that doctors recommending the vaccine believe with all their heart that it is ok. The truth is it's an experiment. No one can change that, or predict results of experiments no matter how qualified they are or strongly they feel. That's just the truth. What is research without data?

I would be interested.
Re poorer countries, the life expectancy is much lower so at least at the beggining of covid there werent to many elderly people to get infected. Don't know what the situation is now.

Dr Zelenko talks about it in this video. I can try to find the place a little later because it's an hour long, but I found the whole thing fascinating

I think I read somewhere else they gave out small packets with cheaper medications and they were successful. India had it's number go down a lot from these packet distributions.

What doctors high up in the NIH? What is their specialty? Are they infectious diseases specialists and/or immunologists, or are they in another field? Because that makes a difference. I trust someone like Anthony Fauci (he's at NIAID, which is part of the NIH), who has spent his life studying infectious diseases, over, say, someone at NIAMS, where they study arthritis and musculoskeletal diseases. It's not that doctors at NIAMS aren't as smart as doctors at NIAID; it's that doctors at NIAID know a whole lot more about infectious diseases and vaccines.

When you quote dr Zelenko, it’s even harder to take you seriously. Sorry but it’s the truth.

You clearly aren’t getting your facts from mainstream sources of proper medical experts.

Honestly your life will be easier and calmer if you would.

Broken pipe? Call a plumber.

Need your car fixed? Speak to a mechanic.

Regarding healthcare you should be speaking to mainstream healthcare professionals. Why is this any different. Follow the majority not the minority.

You mean, they don't have the ability to test enough people or enough money to treat all those people, so people just caught it and died and their deaths weren't counted.

Do you really think Iran has a low covid rate and low death rate? They just don't have adequate health care so people die undiagnosed and untreated.

I am telling you where I got the info from. I do not know the doctor in NIH, a fellow parent in my daughter's sem does. I formed my opinion based on my doctor, not the doc from NIH. I know my doctor very well. Someone else told me they know someone 2 levels below Fauci that said no to vaccine. Fauci, I will not even attempt to guess what he really believes. I am not trying to convince you, just to tell you I didn't get my info from google.

I don't think these countries suddenly lost their money. I believe they had a consistent supply of tests. Their numbers went down. It's up to the individual if they want to believe it.

This is an opinion. You can get your info from where ever you want. I am 100% certain I am calmer getting my information from where I get it from. It's very calming to get good information. And I could say with 100% certainty that if I trusted MSM I would be afraid of my own shadow, thinking I'm bound to die of COVID tomorrow. And if I trusted mainstream doctors my health would not be what it is today. I like to trust people that have been right for me in the past. Though there are many mainsteam doctors saying not yet to the vaccine.

When I quote Dr Zelenko, it is harder for some people to take me seriously and perhaps easier for others. Maybe some one open minded would want to check it out and decide for themselves. I don't track who made the request, and I have no idea if they were seriously interested. But I posted it in case someone was interested. If yes yes if no no.

My goal here is not to increase my credibility. It was clearly stated in my first post. It was for empathy which I got, and to inform some people who might care, which I did.

Sure they have money, and tests for the leaders and those close to them. They also have abysmal healthcare systems and don't usually care about the lay citizen.

Iran, for example, has tons of money but instead of investing in infrastructure and its citizens, it invests in its nuclear program and its purchasing rockets for its satellites on Israel's borders.
