When my kids were young it was easy to think of dozens of things to get them excited at the seder table. Now they are tweens and young teens and not so easily impressed or excited. Everyone is bummed out because we usually host my whole extended family and DH's whole extended family and it's exciting just having all the grandparents/ aunts & uncles/ cousins/ etc. but thanks to corona this will the the 2nd years it's just us. It's been a tough year for my kids. I want to make seders fun and meaningful. Very appreciative of any and all ideas. Thanks!

We do maggid in the living room, reclining on couches. The setting is conducive to great conversation.

Lots of Story telling.
Acting out how yidden left mitzrayim with matzah on their backs.

At some point, get some adult conversation going, like oldest relatives' stories.

My kids find the seder very fun and meaningful because DH tells the story of yetzias mitzrayim in full detail. Which is kinda what the aim of the seder is about.
Rather than looking for gimmicks, just do the seder properly.

Divide up magid and kids have to lead their section and prepare for it (divrei Torah).
Dingbats and quizzes are fun to do between bits when u need or want a break.
You can even prepare a hagadah hunt. Find the word....in the hagaddah. All sorts of questions they prep for.
Another way to do this is with a bingo board you make. Ex one square is the number 5 so when they come across 5 in the hagaddah they put a nut or choc chip on that square. Can make this as hard or easy as appropriate.
My kids (all ages) love this....and we make them easier for younger kids...
