I'm curious about a comment made in the Seminary Response thread.
What number of girls in your dd's HS are not going to Sem next year?
What are next year's plans instead?
We are still on the fence for our 2nd dd.

Every single girl is going except 1 who’s going straight to college.

I'm in high school (staff obv) the problem is that applications and acceptance is done at beginning of year and the Israel vaccine /green card stuff is only coming out now. By now all the girls have their responses. So they'll have to change their plans if they want to.

Everyone in our daughter's HS except a few girls from families that do not send to seminary are going.

Not for this year, but my neighbor's daughter is in 10th now, and she just told me she's decided theyre not sending her. They dont feel its necessary. (In town, NY area)

In the high school where I teach it seems like just about everybody is planning to go to seminary in Israel. For the class of 2021, after all the experiences from high school that they feel they were robbed of, many of the students are particularly anticipating a year in Israel that should iyH be quite normal and full of a wide range of experiences.
