Should hashem send a refueh shleima to everyone

It usually spreads 2 to 5 days after exposure so those who were exposed Thursday night would just be showing symptoms about now.

So scary that covid is still going around Brooklyn more than a year later...
Kind of relevant to me, that's the only reason I'm asking, but do your Sunday program kids have to quarantine ?

No they don’t. My first symptoms were Monday.

That means you probably were contagious already on Sunday, just so you know. Refuah Sheleimah!

According to the rules, they don’t need to quarantine.

According to my pediatrician (and many others and I think the CDC) - if someone was exposed to a sick person 48 hours before they experienced virus symptoms they are required to quarantine. A person is considered contagious 48 hours before having any virus symptoms

Is that current?

They said that a few months ago, but I believe regulations have changed since my children’s school no longer shuts down classes in such scenarios. (And they’re very by the book...)

Refuah shelaima. Unfortunately this is the beginning of a Covid surge in the frum community. With all the unmasked Purim plays, chagigas, and megillah readings as spreader events.

Do NOT try to defend all the unmasked pre-Purim and Purim events. There is NO excuse. Crying

People getting sick now didn't catch it on Friday. Those will show in a few days.

They very well might have - symptoms usually appear after 3-5 days.
Regardless though, they probably were contagious on Friday, which is probably worse.
Mommy3b2c - May you have a speedy and uneventful recovery.

Sorry to hear that. Sad

Refuah shlema.

Do you have any idea where you may have caught it? Have you alerted other people who may have been at the same place?

When I had it, I had no appetite and wasn’t really drinking either. I felt so weak from the virus/fever. Someone brought me Powerade and I actually felt somewhat revived a few minutes after I drank it. Powerade has electrolytes which is crucial when you are fighting this virus. I would really encourage you to drink Powerade. You probably don’t realize how much you need it.
