DH and I are trying to switch over to healthy eating. Not so much like almond flour or no food coloring more like less sugar, less frying, brown rather than white.
Can we post menu/supper ideas and healthy recipes you've tried and liked?
Thanks!

Sheet pan supper - boneless chicken breast with a frozen vegetable (broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, California blend). on a sheet pan with Pam and spices. Broil.
I’ll often do this twice week with different flavors.

Chicken meatballs over brown rice

Grill pan chicken over a large salad

Salmon poke bowls using quinoa and tons of vegetables

Lots of soup

Our dinner tonight: grilled chicken marinated in mustard, soy sauce and drop of pure maple syrup, roasted carrot, tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, onion and pepper, brown rice cooked, sauted with a few shpritzes of pam, with crushed cashews, raisins, scallions. Homemade chery-strawberry-apple compote for dessert 😊

I think I cook pretty healthy most of the time. Tonight is red curry chicken with Zucchini and snap peas and brown rice and bok choy salad. Tomorrow will be spinach lasagna and orange soup. We make whole wheat pizza, tofu, fish tacos, and try to have soup often since it’s healthy and helps fill us up

I kind of do a pick one from column A,B, and C approach. A is the veggie which is typically a garden salad or veggie soup. B is the starch, brown rice or sweet potato most typical. C is the protein - chicken breast, pargiyot, salmon or snapper are likely choices, simply baked with spices.

Use spices that you like! Or you can mix it with browned onions and garlic!

I make it the oven.
Put a little bit of olive oil on bottom. Add rice, salt ,pepper, garlic powder, mushrooms and soy sauce(according to taste). You can add onions (if I have frozen I'll put those in!)
Add water, cover with foil and bake at least an hour to an hour and a half! Problem of brown rice is that it takes much longer to cook than white rice! If it's too hard it won't taste good!!
