I know that you are probably thinking more along the lines of novels, but Dovid Bashevkin just came out with a book based on his former pieces in Mishpacha. His writing is spot on. I'm a huge fan.

This is a very broad range of books - teen novels, tween novels, teen short stories...

Are you implying that my taste is immature? : )

Well, first, I have to confess that I buy books even for younger ages. Mainly because all my grandchildren come to borrow books. But also because I need reading material on Shabbos and I don't mind reading teen literature if that's all there is.

Hey, I'm in the middle of Out of Mind myself now. I'm just saying that you're offering a big variety of books. I wonder what OP's looking for.

Considering that I am OP... I 'm just listing all the new books I see & hoping someone has read some.

And I liked Out of Mind too...

Oops embarrassed
I remember thinking when I first read your post, what genre do you prefer.
Libby Lazewnik's new book (Stay With Me?) was a satisfying read.
I don't generally buy fiction though, bH we have some good local libraries. But good on everyone who does; we won't get more fiction if private people don't buy.

Genre?

I just finished reading 23 under 1 roof, Midnight Watch and The Unfair Science Fair, because I am not feeling great & needed light material.

I'm also reading Mindsight by Daniel Siegel, Secrets of the Soul (Rav Shlomo Hoffman), Thinking about Creation: Eternal Torah and Modern Physics by Andrew Goldfinger, With Truth and With Love by Rabbi Dr. Yaakov Greenwald ...

However I also bought a few books about true medical stories that have sad endings, but I don't think I will buy those any longer.

You've probably read Brainstorm. But if not, that bH is upbeat.
Have you read Reaching to Heaven, the biography of Rav Yaakov Edelstein, zt"l?
