How do I properly wash newborn clothes? Besides using gentle detergent. Sometimes the fabric come out hard if I hang to dry. I want them to be soft. Should I dry everything? Like velours and undershirts. Stretchiest? Knits? I feel like the fabrics get stiff and ruined. Please instruct. Thanks

Pajamas and undershirts I dry in the dryer fully
Nicer items I dry for 10 minutes in the dryer and then hang to dry. That should help keep the softness
I use wool dryer balls (instead of dryer sheets) to help

I soak all baby clothes in oxiclean and then use a free and clear detergent.
I dry almost all baby clothes in the dryer, but if you don't want to, I would do an extra rinse before hanging.

Use the dryer for velours, undershirts, PJs. Nice stretchies and knits should be laid flat and smoothed out to dry.
