Hi!
I need some advice on organizing medications and vitamins. 2 of my kids have medical issues so they take a bunch of different meds daily. They also need to take a variety of vitamins every day and I like to keep Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen handy as well. Plus we have food allergies so we keep lots of benadryl and epipens around.
I think the best place to keep all of this is in a kitchen cabinet, especially since some meds need to be taken with food or drink. However, every bottle is a different size and shape and things keep getting messy. How can I keep everything neat yet accessible?

I keep the meds in a clear container together with a bottle of water and syringes.
Meds that I can predose I pull up in a syringe and cover with a cap and have about a weeks worth (check with pharmacist as not all meds are ok to do that, and some need to be away from light so would need an amber syringe let’s say)
If it’s mostly pills- new Utrecht pharmacy (if you’re in NY- though I’m sure other pharmacies do the same) Will prepackage the meds according to times administered.
Also, you might find a pill container to work better- but then again, check to make sure that it can be out of the bottle .

Also, you might want to sort it in different containers by child or 1 for meds, 1 for vitamins, 1 for otc, 1 for emergency/epipen Benadryl etc

I’ve seen fellow IVFers put their meds in those hanging cosmetics cases with clear pockets. The bottle go in the pockets. Not sure if there’s a place to hang it hi enough for kids not to get it but I thought that was a cool method that kept things organized but visible. Never did it. I Jist kept my stuff on my dresser 😩

Look into prepackaged mediation providers. If you're in Brooklyn, New Utrecht Pharmacy does this. They deliver a box of everything all ready and sorted by date and time. No extra cost (just everything purchased there).
The patient will have a roll of medication packets that can be pulled off. Each packet has the date and time on it. So if he needs xyz meds and abc vitamins at 8:00am, those will be grouped in one packet. Night meds and pain relievers can be packaged into a PM packet. This way you can keep track if meds were given yet and also makes it easier to dispense.

You can try something like this
https://www.google.com/aclk?sa.....durl=
I use different size containers and keep them in different places.
I have 1 in the kitchen cabinet for vitamins. One on my night chest for dc meds (officially keep it in dc room/closet but I usually end up giving meds first thing in morn when dc wakes up and comes to my bed & same thing in eve).
Then I have a huge container with backup meds and otc stuff in dc closet, so it’s handy but not taking up precious kitchen space.

This would actually be a great idea and would save lots of time. Where can I get syringes with a cap for a decent price? I would need a lot of them. I assume Amazon, would you have a link?

I'm assuming this is only for pills? My kids are toddlers so most of their meds are liquid.

Thanks, something like this might work! And I can keep all the extras high up on an unused shelf.

What about a rack made for spices that you hang on the inside door of a cabinet?

I like this! I can have a separate compartment for each kid's daily medications and others for emergency meds. Great ideas everyone, thank you so much!

Up to 5ml but dosage will likely increase as child grows. If it's in a closed cabinet, I assume clear is fine. How can I get it covered?

Probably depends on insurance. We get it covered, but that might be because dc has a gtube. If you want to post location and insurance- I might have leads for you or you can Check with your doctor or pharmacy.
