From an email I received a few days ago:
Chametz Gemach:
From now through Wednesday, March 24, donate your non-perishable (doesn't spoil), closed-packages of chametz with a reliable hechsher. The Gemach halachically sells all chametz before Pesach. After Pesach, everything is distributed to those in need. Unfortunately, we cannot do pickups.
The gemach is also asking people to consider a monetary donation that will be given to a family that could really use some help.
In eleven years, the Gemach gathered & distributed 42,000 pounds of food!
For more information, please call: 718.377.6361 (calls only; no texts) or email yitzchak@relkin.com (please write "Chametz Gemach" in subject line). Please call before coming. I cannot have food left outside the house unattended.
The Gemach is located at 1101 East 3rd Street (I/J).
(PLEASE FORWARD this notice to friends and family)

Can you donate it to a non frum food pantry? My sister isn't frum, I give her all my chametz because she's low income.
