What works better to treat mosquito bites that became huge, bactroban or fenistil gel. Anyone have experience?
I know the fenistil prevents it from happening but once it's big already...

Yes, that or OTC cortisone cream or prescription cortisone cream.
The bites are big because of swelling, so that's what it makes sense to treat.

I know that u mentioned that it is mosquito bites. Do u think by any chance that it could be bed bugs? Is there 3 bites in one area?

You can use both. Honestly, I never found fenistil to be a very effective antihistamine. Maybe ask the Dr for another option. I've also used nasalcrom sprayed directly on skin and found it helps a lot.

When I used to get huge swelling (way bigger than normal bite), I would take Benadryl or other antihistamine pills because it was an allergy. Is this an allergy? The creams will help with itch but not swelling.

Did the bites start small and grow over time?
Or did the kid wake up with huge bites?
If the first it sounds like an infection (which might require a prescription cream).
If the second, then I'd try for the hydrocortisone cream or the benadryl.

I used to suffer terribly from mosquito bites. I tried everything, but I am a bug magnet.
Then I got a couple of those blue light mosquito traps, and plugged them in around the house. In the past few months I've only been bitten ONCE.

Put one next to her bed, one in the living room, and one in the kitchen. They will also kill house flies, fruit flies, and moths. They are silent until a bug hits it, and then you will hear a tiny spark sound. They draw very little electricity, and are safe around children.
The blue light may keep her awake at night, so put it somewhere that it won't shine directly into her eyes. Other than that, they make great night lights.
