And to those who would respond I should just wear what I like - don't worry, I will...from what I'm told about on this thread!

You can find many of these in styles online, such as Target, Shein, Metziahs, Asos, Macys, etc.

White sneaker help for the clueless please? Feel like that would look weird with nude tights. I’m too scared to wear just socks with a short or midi skirt in Lakewood.

It looks fine with nude if it’s on the dainty side

Serious question for those who want to follow trends
What if you don’t like a trend? (Example: floral. Or puffy sleeves)
Or what if it doesn’t flatter you? (Example: midis tend not to be flattering as they end at the legs heavy part)
Do you follow the trend and wear it anyway?
Or do you not have preferences (meaning: you like what’s in style. Period. And if your legs don’t look their best well neither do anyone else’s)
This is something I’ve always wondered

You make it fit your body. Nothing will look good or trendy if it doesn’t fit right.

I’m Not talking fit. I’m talking flattering. Like button downs don’t flatter big busted women. Or certain colors don’t flatter Serrano skin tones. Do people wear the trends anyway?

So don’t wear buttons. Wear something else that’s trendy, or wear it in a different way. There’s always a choice!
For example, I’m pale and blonde. White doesn’t look good on me. So instead of wearing a full white dress (which is super trendy) or a white shirt, I’ll wear a white skirt with a colored top.

I’m not taking about me. I dislike trends and don’t follow them. Never have. I have more classic taste. ’m really just curious what people who follow trends do

There’s always a variety of what’s trending. You (general you, not you specifically) choose what’s flattering on you.

You mentioned chunky heels and square flats (Nineties!) Are back...are pointy toes totally out, I have some slides and flats that I love with narrow, pointy toes that I was wearing with tiered chambray midis and chambray straight skirts with tucked in Ts...still a look, or just out? Thanks!

I wear a midi skirt with sneakers no socks. No one threw me out of Lakewood just yet. But you can wear nude- better than nude and short socks.
