Is there any reason why I cant reuse the same costumes from last year?
I made gorgeous costumes last year and noone even saw them! when delivering shaloch manos they had to wear coats on top, and the costume day in school was a snow day!
I dont have time to make new costumes. and this year is a friday anyhow, I dont think anyone will see them again this year either!
anyone else going to reuse an old costume?

Not only do we reuse them, we dress up in them throughout the year for play acting. From over the many years, we have a variety of super heroes, lots of masks, wigs and other accessories so the kids mix and match from year to year but I still wind up getting a few new items to keep it fresh and exciting.

I'm reusing. The almost 4 year old will wear the one he wore when he was almost 2.
And the almost 2 year old will wear the one his big brother wore when he was almost 1.

After 2 and 3 years, I think I can use them again.

I say it's a mood thing ... if you can swing it and everyone is happy GO FOR IT!!!

I once made a dorothy costume for middle dd ... we even found glittery red shoes ... she loved it enough to wear it again & again ...

Whyever not?

I may well be recycling ideas from 20 years ago if I don't come up with any new ideas real soon.

I"ll also be reusing most of my son's costume from last year. It was so adorable, I can't bear to let a perfectly good costume sit around.

My kids want to be clowns again, so I'm reusing. I just need to buy one more costume this time.
