Brown sugar, coconut milk, pinch of potato starch, pinch of salt.
Cook over medium-high heat until bubbly and the consistency you want, probably about five minutes.
Like this, but with potato starch subbed for cornstarch.

You think I can use almond milk, or its not thick enough?

I would stick with the coconut milk (the kind in the can, not a box) - almond milk is too thin and not fatty enough. ALthough if you try it, let me know how it goes!
