Please don't sell any jewelry OP!
I was in an awful situation, where we didn't have bread to eat. I was contemplating selling off my jewelry, but with such heartbreak that I kept pushing it off.
Thank G-d I didn't! I am coming out of this dark abyss, bh there's food to eat and some more. I would have been devastated had I sold my diamond ring.
Bezras Hashem your situation is temporary and may it turn around for the better, sooner than you think.

agree hang in, gods got ur back..

I agree with the posters saying it wouldn’t be right to take tzedakah. I haven’t reached out to anyone who offered, even though the kindness is overwhelming.
As for selling a piece of jewellery... it’s harder than you can imagine. It’s not the piece I care about, it’s the humiliation that I need to sell my possessions to get by. It feels like giving up a piece of me. It’s such a horrible place to be in. I give you all a bracha to never know.
That’s why I’m just venting.
I’m not really up to hearing suggestions.
Today just hit me very hard.
Op. I got an $8400 deposit in my account yesterday from the us government. I’d love to give you $840 of that so you can start your shopping. And when you have the money you’ll send it to a kimcha d’pischa fund. A lot of them continue collecting even after Pesach.

I’ve taken money in the past. My parents have taken money in the past. And this year it happens that I’m baruch hashem able to give.

I get that it’s hard to be on the receiving end. But really, there’s a time for everything.

So good of you. I agree OP take the money offered for your kids sake! No one has to know, just your dh. It's all anonymous. Hugs Hug

OP I know exactly how you feel. I was in your shoes for many years. I was all cleaned and ready to cook but no money for food. I sometimes only had a few dollars in my account.
I waited and waited and a couple of days before Pesach money would come in but by that time either the stores where out of stuff or only the real expensive stuff would be available. Thankfully for the stimulus check this year.
Hashem should watch out for you and send money to you quickly.

Please if this situation happens again go to your local rabbi he will try arrange food vouchers for you so you can food for yomtuv
