Mega bloks starter set. If they don’t have already, that’s a good age to start.

My baby loves this! He can play with this for ages quietly by himself.
He also loves puzzles that have big knobs.

Puzzles maybe would be a good idea. Do you have a suggestion of which ones, that would be good that are mouth friendly?

This is what I was going to link! ⬆️

He also loves this one because the animals are furry and it has a mirror. There are no knobs, so it’s a bit more difficult.

I like getting a book or 2. It’s nice and doesn’t take up space.

We use a lot of battery toys at that age. Pop up toys

https://www.amazon.com/Playsko.....r=8-3

Basically most kids that age like emptying cabinets and playing with plastic cups and containers.

How old was your baby when he was able to play with megabloks?

This is my one year old's favorite toy. There are similar brands that are cheaper but I don't know if they are harder to use.

I love books too. If you go with books, Brown Bear is a great book for speech development, 100 first words is a classic first book, and Where's Spot is also a great classic. This is if they don't already have them.

I had to go look back at pictures to find exactly when! He’s 18 mos now, but he’s been playing with mega blocks since he was exactly 1. He has an older brother who’s obsessed with mega blocks, so he picked it up from him. He doesn’t actually build anything, just stacks up as many as he can. Now he builds up a tall stack, knocks it over, and laughs his head off.
