Anyone have a freezable no fail (that theyve made) non gebrokt 2 tone kugel recipe? One layer orange and the other layer green, like Carrot or Sweet potato and Zucchini?
Theres a thread here about this kind of kugel but it sounds like it shouldnt be frozen.

Use 2 Tbsp potato starch instead of 3 Tbsp flour.
Most vegetable kugels shouldn't be frozen. |
Thanks ra_mom! I read the other thread and it sounds like its real yum!

What do the companies do who sell frozen kugels to make the texture stay good tasting and not soggy, when the Kugel is warmed after being frozen?
You think it'll taste better defrosted if I assemble the Kugel and freeze it raw today, and then bake on Erev Yom Tov?

Have you made the potato zucchini kugel, with shredded zucchini and boxed latke mix? It's more stable/more starchy. You can make it two tone with 2 different veggies.

Thanks. Probably would stay nicer looking, but Id rather not use any mix, once Im working with the vegetables. Looks like Id have to make it on Thursday or Friday.
