Hi , would love if anyone can help me. I'm not American (originally) but living in ny for a short while
I want to take my kids out (9,7,4) on chol hamoed. Thinking Niagara falls
How far away is it from Brooklyn?
Any hotels someone can recommend for the night?
And any other tips, advice, welcome! Like is it fun boring for kids? What do you do there etc

Most of the fun stuff are on the Canadian side. Are you able to enter Canada? If not, IMO it's not worth it to travel so far and only see the US side.
It's about 7 hours from Brooklyn. You can check Google Maps for a more accurate timing.

It's not worth it to travel so many hours at this point. I don't think you can get into Canada and many attractions are still closed. Most open around May. It will probably also be quite cold there on chol hamoed.

On the US side is Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, but check to see if they're running now and any restrictions that may be in place.
As pause said, most of the attractions are on the Canadian side, so personally I wouldn't make the long drive, but if it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you, you can go for it and consider staying either in Niagara US or in Buffalo, about 30 minutes away with a few minyan options and other activities.
