DS is 3 weeks old and is super stuffed up from a cold/cough - not so much his nose as his throat. Very mucousy, bubbling from his mouth. I’ve been using a cream on his lip to help unblock his nose, but nothing is really working for his throat. He’s coughing so much that he’s gagging and throwing up his feeds ☹️ His nappies are still wet BH (doctor told us to watch out for that) but after a few minutes he gives up on feeding and falls asleep. I’ve already had to deal with a blocked duct which BH didn’t end up in mastitis.
Any tips to help with congestion so he feels better and I stay infection free?

Turn on the shower on hot and let the baby sit in the steamed bathroom. Works wonders

My pediatrician told me that it comes from the mom in pregnancy and lasts for about 3 months.
It was so annoying and sometimes would wonder if baby was getting enough oxygen.

A humidifier in her room helped tremendously.

Sounds like reflux, could be from food sensitivities, tongue tie.
