Just wondering how common this is because my dentist said it was possible. Did any of your children have their top teeth come in before their bottom teeth?

Forgot to ask in the poll, but for multiple, I'd appreciate if posters could specify in the comments how many did/didn't.

Did it happen to your baby or is it hypothetical ?

At least one of my kids had top first. I had one kid who popped a side tooth first. Don't remember though if it was top or bottom. My baby now popped teeth in the weirdest order.

I'm not sure if it's happening right now. Very hard to see the top gums, but wanted to get an idea of how common or uncommon it is.

My kids all had teeth by five months, except for one ds who got his first tooth at age 23 months and it was a molar 🤷 it took a few more months till his front teeth (bottom first, I think, but I don't quite recall) came in.

One kid had bottom first, then matching top, then bottom, then top

The other kid had a top tooth come in first. I remember very well because he'd "bite" me with it while breastfeeding 😠😂

That's when it first occurred to me. I think I felt a tooth on top while baby was biting/nursing. It's a bit tricky to tell because it's harder to get baby to open mouth enough to see the top and also there's a ridge on top, which confuses me about what I'm feeling. Baby definitely seems to be pressing on top gum when sucking on fingers.

All my kids had top two first. I guess I thought that was normal?

Looks like there's a range here, so I guess there is no normal XD

All my kids had the bottom two teeth come in first, except for one child who didn't get teeth at all until 17 months, and when they did, it was the top molars that came in first.
