my baby is b"h 5 months old and I need some help figuring out how to schedual his naps
I dont work so he doesnt have to wake up early to go to babysitter so we usually wake up in between 8 and 9:30
and then he goes down for a nap 1 hr 45 min later and has been recently sleeping for 2.5 hours but its usually at least an hour ! and then another 1hr and 45 min later goes down for another nap wich can be any where from 40 min to 2 hours
and then he can take another 40 min nap another 1 hr and 45 min later and then is up for around 3 hours until bed- we just discovered that he needs a longer wake period in between last nap and bed so his last nap which was sometimes at 6:30 was dropped as he would just scream and scream and wouldn't sleep
but now I have my QUESTION- what if his last nap ends at 4:30 I can't keep him up 4 hours to put him to bed at 8:30 which is when I like him to go to sleep
and if I put him down earlier at like 7:30 hell just wake up 40 min later thinking it was just a nap and then will go to sleep for the night super late
any advice will be super helpful as I really am stumped
thank so so much

You need to give him some cues to teach him it’s bedtime and not nap time.
Example:
Dark room
Bath
Songs
Book
Lotion
Sleep sack
