I just stumbled upon this show.
If you like jeopardy, you might enjoy this.
It's a national competition for kids ages 8-12, to see who is the smartest kid in the world. They compete over 8 weeks, while gradually eliminating those with the lowest scores.
It's fun to watch. Unlike jeopardy, I find that many of the questions are not very hard. But in order to advance, the kids have to be proficient in many categorizes and be able to perform under pressure.
Aside from the morally questionable nature inherent in such a competition, this is perfectly clean entertainment.

Except they legally can and some idiots will do anything to profit off their kids. Look at shows like Toddlers in Tiaras, Dance Moms and Little Big Shots.

Its extremely disturbing to watch how many of these parents treat their kids.
Some parents are just horrible. And one or two were actually inspiring.
These kids are all geniuses. It's hard to know or quantify how much damage is being done with these competitions. Imagine if Einstein were made into a spectacle like this...would he have accomplished all that he did?

Would not watch it, my child is a genius and I would never submit him to public scrutiny. I don't like these shows where kids are basically trained monkeys for entertainment.
