Can you make yapchik in a crockpot without a liner? How do you keep it from burning and getting very stuck?

I did this last week and it worked. I'm davening it works with the one going on now beH:
Line the crockpot with parchment paper. (I did 2 layers. Not sure why.) Spray the ppaper.
Make your normal 10-12 potato potato kugel. BUT I only put in 2 of the 5 eggs, and a quarter cup of oil vs. 1/2.
Spread about 1/3 kugel in the crockpot. (Mine is an oval.) Layer the meat. Last week I had about 1 1/2 lbs. stew meat, this week I'm using a piece of kalachel that I sliced while semifrozen and layered. Spread the rest of the kugel on top. Bake on low.
Before Shabbos last week I poured bout 2 cups of hot excess liquid from the seder chicken over it. This week I might use soup. I didn't cover the yapchik in any way besides the crockpot lid. I kept in on low the whole time.

I don't line my crockpot, instead I grease it, you can spray cooking oil all around.

Greased it well. Sides become super crisp which is best part but slides out easily.
It's delicious!
