Hi, I am leaving my oven on for Rosh Hashana but don't like to leave my stovetop on over a 3 day yom tov. Just wondering if it will work well to reheat a pot of soup inside the oven, and how long would such a thing take if the oven is hot? Thanks!

Yes I have done it. Just be careful if you use an aluminum pan because it can get messy. I have also used a crockpot to heat up soup.

Yes. I only leave my stove top on if I need to actually cook. If it's not on I always heat soups in the oven.

I have put soup in the oven but you should know it takes a long time to heat up if your oven is set low.

A health and safety reminder-soup needs to reach boiling point in order to kill off all bacteria...

How long and what temperature would make sense for soup in the oven in an oven safe pot?
