She just got glasses right before Pesach. Tomorrow will be the 1st day at school with the them. She’s 5. Teacher was the one who noticed she needs glasses and told me of the issue.

What would be the purpose of calling the teacher?
My DD got glasses in the first grade, at age 6. I don't recall it being a big deal, but I do remember getting a call that night from another parent in the class. Her DD was the only other child wearing glasses, and she told me her DD was so excited that DD got glasses!

I just wasn’t sure if it’s standard to just give teacher a heads up? Can you tell it’s my first girl in school?

It's not necessary to call the teacher.

It would be a nice thing to do especially since the teacher brought it to your attention. You can thank her

If she is fighting about wearing them, maybe. Or if you have concerns about them getting lost or broken.
Otherwise, the teacher will probably figure it out, and offer warm encouragement.

You can send her a short email to give her a heads up, also thanking her for alerting you to the fact your daughter needed them. I'm sure she will appreciate it!

If the teacher was the one who realized she needed I definitely would call and thank the teacher. Either before or the first night after school resumes.

This is what I would do.
