To clarify, we're going away for shabbos and it's a gift for our host

I host really often and appreciate a gift I can exchange. Kitchen Clique on County Line has really pretty things in that price range. They wrap beautifully and host can exchange if they don't like the gift. I've also gotten from seforim stores things like a new cookbook or other new releases.

Do they have kids- toys or kid books
Books in general is since gift
Those are my favorite hostess gifts I’ve gotten.
Fruit platter
Maybe oven to table serving dishes but it’s hard to know someone’s taste.

I'm guessing you want to give a nice gift. I don't expect people to spend that much when I host them (and hope they don't feel the pressure).
But since you are asking for suggestions....I once received a lucite container, it's long and rectangular and has a removable 3-section piece. I find it very useful and versatile. I remove the piece and use it for cake and cookies. Or put in the piece, and use it for different types.
The Waterdale collection has some nice gift options...I have the "Im Eshkochech Yerushalayim" on my wall, received as a gift.

Thanks! |
My Al Netilat Yadayim towels get grungy fast, so that's always a decent gift
Wine bottle stoppers/preservers for leftover wine
Cake cutter/server https://www.tiinathestore.com/.....w_wcB
Unless you know the person's taste, don't buy anything "permanent" like a serving piece.

A Nest diffuser or similar is nice and can be gotten for $50 or less. I think Domani Home has some.

Please, no scents. I send those to the thrift shop.

Something nice that's classy unless you know them really well, get her taste really well- washing cups and hand towels from domani home look amazing!!
I personally like classy glass tea cups, fancy tea pot, assorted teas- I once got as a hostess gift.

My "go to" gift is a nice set of serving spoons, a salad bowl or a serving tray, or depending on the pricing, sometimes it's the serving utensils and a serving piece
