OP mentioned her kid has anxiety, which tells me there’s already something out of balance. Topical magnesium can be very calming for such kids, and is essential for converting serotonin into melatonin. I would also look into lemon balm, very gentle and helps with sleep. Also, check for strep/pandas. Nighttime phobias and sleep regression is very common with that.
