So I’ve been accepted to the yeshiva and am being advised by family members that it’s not the right place for my child. They know my child he is very bright & full of personality and spunk, very sensory, etc. Is Talmud Torah open to a more out of the box approach if needed? How do they deal with issues that may arise? Family insists they are very old school & in the box. If you or anyone you know sends there can you pls advise. (I’m now reconsidering and looking into Stolin and Mesoras Avos which supposedly cater more to all types of behaviors in children.)

TTBA is not what it used to be... Meaning you as a parent need to advocate for your child... depending on who the Rebbe/teacher is - you will have some good years and some terrible years... though I doubt the other schools you mentioned are necessarily better. Stolin isn't around that long to have a reputation yet... and I would def say TTBA is better choice than MA. but if your child is really out of the box - I would consider something else entirely - unless you will be by your child's side throughout - with private tutors... I would def not say TTBA is into an out of the box approach - totally not - but they are very tolerant of different kinds - even too much so - I must add. Also the younger grades are basically fine - its once you hit mid - elementary that you notice the slide... And their best rebbeim are leaving or moving to Mesivta... Secular dept nothing to talk about.
