I've always been all for being open and honest about everything and not shying away. So when my 3 year old daughter asked me what pads are for I told her that a woman bleeds from her vag!na once a month... And my daughter was kinda horrified and said she didn't want to. Luckily, I think she forgot about it. I don't think I'll mention it again until she's 8/9.

Does anyone know if there is a frum book that can assist with having this discussion? I looked on eichlers and couldn't find one but I feel that by now there must be one that has been published.

Periods, birth canal and such conversations before preteen.
The start of the birds and the bees before teen.

Doesn't the "birds and bees" come up when you teach them about periods? Like, don't they want to know how the egg gets fertilized?
