so you should definitely ask how high? where are they? more details?

the reason im asking is because 2 of my sons had testicles that were too high in the stomach, but this was discovered in the hospital as a newborn. they had surgery by 1 years old bec. the dr(urologist) said being in the stomach is not the right environment for them to be healthy....he said its better to do the surgery right away...

bh the surgeries were successful except one son, on his right side, the dr couldnt find the testicle to bring it down to the correct place....and bh now, years later, it "appeared" in the iguinal canal(which the pa thought was a hernia(she was wrong)) and my son is having surgery to bring it down in june iyh. his other testicle was moved and is now growing as it should bh...

so my ques is it in the canal? stomach? did the dr do a sonogram? are you going to go to a pediateic urologist who specializes in this?

if I were you, I would go to a pediatric urologist to see what they say and id make sure they tell me where it is etc..

This was really helpful!
I will definitely make an appointment with a pediatric urologist. The doctor today said it in matter of fact kind of way. I had no idea what to ask.
If he said to come back in the summer to see if it moved does that mean it’s possible?
He has been to the doctor before and I was never told about this.

Dr Moneer Hanna is a top specialist in this area. I don’t know if New York is an option for you but definitely check it out as early as possible. If one waits too long sometimes the testicle chas vishalom cannot be saved as it was in the heated environment too long. The temperature down below is much cooler than inside the stomach. Please check this out by a top Dr at your earliest convenience so it can be moved to the correct place and still be functioning later on.

It can cause a hernia if untreated.

It’s very common and a urologist can tell you how high it is, and they monitor if it’s going up or down...
It usually resolves on its own.

I went back to see another Dr that took the time to explain everything to me. Bh it’s not very high but it needs to be monitored. He told me what the scrotum should look like etc.
he does not think I need to see a urologist and expects it to drop on its own.

Usually it’s good at the next visit but sometimes they will send you to a urologist if it isnt.
