I baked a bunch of challahs and froze them. When we defrosted the first two, we realized that they were very underbaked in the middle. We tried baking them, but they got all brown and hard.
What would you do with them? They're white whole wheat and were originally baked on 350 for about 25 minutes (they're 2-lb loaves).

Defrost in the oven on 300° for 15-20 minutes.

So take it straight out of the freezer and into the oven?
It's now been out for a few hours and is probably at least partially defrosted on its own. What would you suggest?

I would wrap it in silver foil and then put into the oven so that the inside gets more cooked and the outside doesn’t get too brown.
