There was a story in family first this week that mentioned the parents went to PTA and they left a monitor as the babysitter. It didnt mention specifically that she didnt leave a babysitter but that she checked her phone (app) to see if the baby was sleeping she watched her kvetch and turn over and go back to sleep so all was good.
Reminded me of that post a while back...
Do you think this in the story this week is ok?

They left a baby alone with just a monitor? Or there were older children and they were just checking in on the monitor?

Pretty sure she checked the monitor once she was already home

I reread the story.the monitor is mentioned while she sautéed onions in the kitchen. Pta doesn’t mention a monitor or a babysitter

Did not read the article.
In the event of a fire CVS, a monitor is very helpful 🤷♀️

You know what's even more helpful? A responsible adult looking after the child.
Hiring a babysitter or mother's helper is not rocket science.

I’m sorry. I thought I was soooo obviously sarcastic. How would a monitor help you if CVS there was a fire and you were even only 2 blocks away.
Never leave a child without a RESPONSIBILE adult in the house.
