I tried mam and the hospital pacis so far. She makes a face and gags. So basically I become the paci. Allll day. She does have a very strong suck in general.

My baby never liked any pacifiers and in the beginning nursed all day. By 2 months it calmed down and he settled into a 3 hour schedule. I'm so happy he never took a paci. One less thing to keep track of and take with me when I travel. He's been sleeping just fine without one.

I hate that I hopped on this bandwagon, but I 2nd this. Had 2 kids who tried 3 or 4 pacifiers and nothing ever stuck. Neither of them were good sleepers. Tried the bibs with my 3rd and he bh takes them beautifully and was my earliest baby sleeping thru the night and Bh weaned from bottles to sippy cups very easily

Regular phillips avent (not the round soothies--my kids couldn't keep those in their mouths).

Are the bibs really worth it at $7 a pop? I’ll give it a try. Bh she sleeps through the night but only falls asleep with a bottle in her mouth.

I tried bibs after my baby refused the mam. He wouldn’t take that either. Some babies just don’t want pacifiers. I finally gave up. I hope he can figure out other ways to soothe himself because my first is addicted to his pacifier and I don’t know how we would have survived without it.

A few of my kids refused pacis. You have to force the issue, otherwise, with my kids, they suck their fingers all day and that is baaaaad and much harder to wean them off than a paci.

My baby did not want a pacifier. I desperately wanted her to find a way to self-soothe (she was using me as a pacifier). I tried SO many different ones. Nothing. I would try every couple of weeks and finally I was able to convince her to suck on the thing. When she was crying I just put it in her mouth and held it there and like said "shhhh shhhh" as I rocked her. This only worked once she got to be a certain age. She wouldn't take it when she was a newborn. I only really gave it to her for sleep and when she was really upset and I couldn't calm her down. Then she got older and the crying fits ended and we only used it for sleep.

Good luck! I know it was really hard for me when she wouldn't take one.
