Is it necessary to tip the guys at the beach who prepare your chairs and towels?
Whon do you tip when you’re on vacation staying at a resort? I’m always confused if and when I should.

Yes, I tip everyone at a resort.
Anyone who brings you anything to your room, the people who set up your beach chair or pool chair, etc.

As other have posted, anyone who provides a service to you should be tipped. That includes the cleaning person who does your room. If it is the same person every day you can just tip at the end of your visit.
Service positions are generally not well paying so a significant part of their actual compensation is from tips. It is not fair to take advantage of people by not tipping.
