I bought a pack of pastel colored shirts for my 2 year old girl.
I'm now trying to buy shorts to go with them. I found a site that sells pastel colored shorts.
Is there a way to make these go together? A light yellow shirt with light yellow shorts seems very yellow. But matching yellow with pink, purple, or peach seems like it would clash.
Help! Anon because I'm embarrassed at how unfashionable I am. I just don't want her to clash.

I'm not a fashion expert, but I know that there are what are known as complementary colors.
Red-green.
Yellow-purple.
Blue-orange.
So those must be non-clashing colours I would imagine.
Alternatively, I would buy neutral colour shorts - navy, black, beige, white.

Just buy some neutral colored shorts (light denim, khaki, white (although I'm not sure how practical white is...)).

You've got to look at the specific shades and see how they look together. A two year old can look adorable in all pink, whereas an adult might avoid wearing pink tops with pink skirts.
I read somewhere that ombre is in fashion, which seems to mean different shades of the same colour.
Pink and mauve look great together. Peach could also look good with mauve. Or just buy neutral coloured shorts.
Remember at two, she isn't going to be caring about fashion or embarrassed about what she wears. She's more likely to have a favourite garment and insist on wearing it in season and out. You are the one who cares how she looks, so make sure that you like it and don't worry about anyone else.

I do denim shorts to all summer t-shirts. There are several shades of denim and it goes with everything. I find pastel tops with pastel shorts a bit pajamas looking.

Try to avoid matching pastels. One should be a saturated color, and the other more neutral.
All shades of green make fabulous neutrals. Think about nature. What is the predominant color, and what goes with it?
Yellow and orange always look adorable with green. Think citrus trees! Bright purple can be worn with light green, or lavender with dark green.

Thank you all so much! I like the idea of denim/neutral rather than pastels. But I'm in Israel and can't buy from Target. Can someone help me find an Israeli website to buy denim shorts from? I don't want leggings.

You can probably find things in Fox, Golfkids, or Shilav in any mall in the country.

Children’s place had adorable toddler shorts in denim but not cheap at all. Castro and Next will often have multipacks of shorts or T-shirts so would definitely look there.
