Are any slip on "Sock Sneakers", that look similar to the ones below, made by the good sneaker companies (like New Balance, Nike, etc)?
Im thinking if you wear a maxi skirt, you dont need socks in the summer.

Nike definitely does.
I think they are ugly for summer.

And acceptable for winter?
Btw, I think all currently "in" clothing styles, from head to toe, are ugly.
The European designer ones start at $800

When I first saw women on the street wearing them (in BP), I thought they looked really weird and ugly.
Im softening to them and looking to buy a pair..

Someone is making a lot of money on this style, because theyre only stretchy fabric and rubber.
Bloomingdales gave these $800 sneakers a whole table. They must be selling.

I just bought a pair for my very fashion conscious dd. The man in the shoe store admitted that they are basically a sock with a sole. I paid $70 but dd is still a child’s size so I’d imagine it would be more for an adult size. DD is thrilled so whatever it costs to build up her confidence is worth it IMO.

They do last though. They're good quality and I got mine from an outlet store.

Back to my original question. Most of these are made for walking, not running, so they dont have much support.
Are any of this style made for running?

Sock sneakers by definition don’t offer great support. It’s not a running shoe.

Yes, but Im thinking that some brands are probably more supportive than others.

FYI, they cut the leg and can be unflattering with a skirt if the skirt doesn’t cover the top or you are not wearing black tights. DD wears with tights all winter (and it elongates the leg), but when she stops with the dark tights go away, so do they, in favor of an ankle sneaker.

I just got one for myself and am in love. The sole is really thick and supportive. I am sensory and this is so so comfortable. Don’t think it would be great for running though.

A sock can't support your foot, no matter how expensive it is

Not neccesarily.
Its a matter of taste.

I just think they look like boots, which (to me) look clunky in the summer with nice floaty summer clothes. Plus, it's hot where I live, so I'd not choose high-topped, closed footwear like this for summer.
But I'm no fashionista -- to each his own!

I have narrow feet and anything that isn’t closed doesn’t stay on

It's not a sock. It's tight knit elastic type that doesn't really stretch at all. It's very comfortable and supportive, I'm wearing them for 2 years now. They're not running shoes but they're supportive enough for regular everyday wear.
