It's not a sock. It's tight knit elastic type that doesn't really stretch at all. It's very comfortable and supportive, I'm wearing them for 2 years now. They're not running shoes but they're supportive enough for regular everyday wear.

Which brand and style do you have and like?

What socks do your girls wear with it? Trying to picture black shoes and white socks/light dress.

Side note does bias faiga Lakewood allow this? Or too similar to booties?

I have sketchers. They're not high tops, they're regular low cut.
Check out stepinelegace.com they also have some from regular brands.

I dont think its only going to be worn by those with purple streaks in their hair and Sheitels and holes and fringes on their skirts.

I already see quite a bit of them in very frum conservative neighborhoods.

Which is what got me thinking.

And acceptable for winter?

Btw, I think all currently "in" clothing styles, from head to toe, are ugly.

The European designer ones start at $800

Not as much support and as good for the feet, as the New Balance 990s that people of all ages swear by, but probably similarly comfortable and much more trendy.

The kids in the neighborhood have been wearing these for their 3rd year now. It's still a sneaker and too casual for me. I also do not like the way they look with nude stockings. Who wears casual sneakers with dressy stockings. I guess that's where we differ. I'd only wear sneakers with ankle socks and a maxi skirt.
