If you are a preschool teacher, what was the best method used to deal with this in the classroom?

Not a preschool teacher but a SEIT who taught social skills to bullies.
In pre-school some kids still grab toys or hit when get upset. It is usually not real bullying.
I would role play scenarios and teach my student to ask the child to give them the toy
when they are done. And to play something else while waiting.
Instead of hitting, I would teach "using words".
Example - a child accidently bumps my student who thinks it was on purpose and hits back.
I teach my student to say - Hey, you bumped me.
This gives the other child a chance to say - Sorry, it was an accident.

Thanks bestbubby.
Yes kids this age are still learning social behaviors and skills. However I am referring to the child who consistently acts that way. How did you foster the dynamic of the class so that the kids feel safe and nurtured?
