I want to buy something big as a backyard toy this summer. My kids range from 3-20, but I'm looking for something for the 8-14 year old set.
I want it to be something that they can enjoy with friends. I'd like to spend up to about $300.
I already have an above ground pool, and I don't want a trampoline. (I had one years ago, and I was glad when it died. It was too scary)
Some of the ideas we nixed....
Blow up waterside: out of budget, and hard to take care of
Bubble soccer: my kids claim the novelty wears off quickly, and you get very hot and uncomfortable using them.
What are your best backyard accessories???

I don't really have enough space for a good volleyball game, especially once the pool is up.
As far as basketball, it's all grass covered, and pretty uneven. (Takes me forever to level for the pool).

What kind of inflatable water slide did you get? Was it difficult to take care of? Did you leave it up, or take it down each time you used it?

That is so cool!
A rock climbing wall could be installed right on the side of your house.
A net across the pool for playing water polo.
Lawn bowling or croquet.
Badminton set.
Make a miniature golf course.

That's (one of) my husbands toy.

We left it open all week and when it was dry bef. Shobbas we folded it and put it away until the next week...
Would you rethink the Trampoline?
All my kids ages 1-13 love it.
I did buy a huge waterslide from Amazon for this summer, we didnt open it yet .
