How many transactions on those cards? Do you have qp set up already? Is it only for reconciliations?

Really depends on each business specifics. Do you have any idea how many hours of work it will entail?

20-30 credit card transactions a month, total
They’ll be keeping my QuickBooks file and downloading, reconciling etc

I asked someone in the business - she said 2 or 3 hours a month

What did that include? Did they come down to your office or remote login? Did they pay bills or just put in transactions and reconcile?

If it’s that few, why wouldn’t you do it yourself?
I can’t imagine it needing more than an hour a month for 20-30 transactions.

I wouldn’t charge more than $100 a month for that.

Watch a few YouTube videos on basic quickbooks and learn to do it yourself.
Unless you’re not including all that you need. Do you need invoicing? Do you need payments entered?

That doesn’t sound realistic. Who is doing the day to day transactions? Is the file set up? A/P? A/R? Chart of accounts done right? What do you need the bookkeeper for?

For basic bookkeeping like downloading transactions it seems your size I would charge around $300 a month (that is my minimum and it seems your work is minimum) If you would have bill payments it could be another 100 but really depends how many.

I'm in the business and this number sounds about right.

Either with QB online/I host QB desktop/I log in remotely. I use the banks which helps for 90% of information and for any questions have phone meetings or email. Works for all of my clients (large range of industries )

That’s awesome!
I called a few local places and they quoted me $150-$200/month
Wonder what the difference is? Why would they be so much less?

Could be a number of reasons. Most people that use me get referred by very happy clients and want the more than a basic bookkeeper (I am a CPA and usually help with other things than just data entry and recs). Also I have dealt with a lot of QB that were messed up by bookkeepers.
Maybe get some references from them before you hire to make sure you are getting a good bookkeeper
