Taking kids for professional outdoor pictures, at a tulip farm. I’m so excited! But what do my girls wear? My (only) son, will only wear white shirts and long pants...so he’ll wear white polo shirt and black long pants. Should my girls be wear white dresses? Or a color?

my personal opinion girls should wear soft pastel color to contrast the bright tulip color. Anything will go well with black and white.

Thank you! Is a floral pastel too busy?

Don't do floral, too busy. White dresses are nice.

Imho pastel doesn’t go with the bright colors of the tulips. Go with white.

I did pastel at the tulip farm. But I considered a few things. Denim works. Or solid color light colors. Nothing busy because it's a very busy background.

White is a bad idea. It will have color casts from the colors. Pastel looks beautiful with the background. I'm a photographer and I style people for a living. Tan/ beige can also work.

OP, ask the photographer what colors you should go with. I always do that.
Maybe a nice shade of pink or tan.

I don't understand. Wouldn't you have the same issue of color cast on the skin? And wouldn't setting or correcting the white balance help with all?

White, or if it's more casual white+denim skirts. Denim dresses.

In this case the color cast would likely not go on the skin but would reflect on the clothing and it's not a white balance issue.
