Hi, I'll be making a Bar Mitzvah iy"h this upcoming year in the winter, and often find shopping hard. I came across this dress from Junees while looking for yomtov clothing and thought I might order in advance so I have one less thing to think about. Is it appropriate, meaning fancy enough? We live out of town in a warm climate, so even though it's winter, I can wear clothes that are lightweight. The kiddush will be in a yeshiva, women tend to be casually dressed on a regular Shabbos, but more fancy if they are hosting a kiddush. Haven't been to a bar mitzvah in a while so not sure what's flying!

You're the one making the party, you decide if it's fancy enough for it. Personally I'd wear that to work unless the material is nicer in person and can be worn on shabbos. It doesn't help to ask what other people would wear to a party that you're planning.
