I bought a few really pretty collars to put under t-shirts for the summer. Then I bought a bunch of t-shirts from target to match and they are all see through!! Has anyone bought t-shirts this year that are thick enough that don't need a shell? Looking for $10-20 range.

Try Hanes. Their T-shirts are usually thicker. My girls have worn them for a few years and we never had an issue (we don't buy white, but the cream was fine)

In general, read the questions and comments on product pages, this is a question I often see.

I'm curious about the collars you bought. Any links?

I bought solid and striped t shirts from Target but they were not see through. Did you get the ribbed ones?

Kohls carries both Lands end and Croft & Barrow T shirts with crew neck & long sleeves.

There is a store ‘clover’ in Lakewood. They have other stores - ‘sage, in monsey.
They have 100% tzinius comfortable t-shirts $10 bonjour) - $15 (24/7)
Maybe the store in monsey would ship.

I bought a few t shirts that are not see thru and even have good necklines but they were not cheap. I spent around $40 in a store in Lakewood called Brooklyn southwest. I haven’t bought a summer top that I didn’t need to wear with a shell in years.

Hanes fabric is not particularly nice, and they're very boxy. I sleep in them, but that's it.

For casual wear, at a lower price point, try Kohls, Gap and Loft. Different Target ranges may also be thicker -- try Who What Wear or A New Day in particular, although I usually find them too low cut for me.
