Did anyone use Dr Tang for a young child?
Would like to hear your experience with her. Thank you!

I did. I went once and got a script for zantac. I'm not sure what issues you're dealing with, but she is very nice. I didn't use a GI long enough to really know her.

I used her briefly. She’s nice but I’m not sure how experienced she is for complicated cases. If you’re dealing with something chronic or serious, NYU has an excellent pediatric gastroenterology team, as does Northwell Health.

For IBD issues Dr. Marla Dubinsky at Mt Sinai is in a league of her own.

Do you know if she takes UHC community plan?

I am not familiar with that plan but I know she runs the Mt Sinai Pediatric IBD clinic as well. The clinic takes anything I think. The days and times are limited but you have access to the same top doctors. Call 2122415415 for more info. My son started with Dr. Dubinsky and transitioned to one of her Fellows who is now an Attending when we switched my son to Fidelis as Dr. Dubinsky does not take Fidelis and it was difficult to schedule clinic appointments only. So after switching to Fidelis we at first made the appointments with the Fellow only when Dr. Dubinsky was there and she always sat in and made the decisions but now my son is very stable bH and we are very comfortable with the Attending and don't feel the need to consult with Dr. Dubinsky regularly.
