You mean rebbeim as in your sons Rebbi? Or rabbanim? I do wonder what rabbanim would say about fancy, thin masks. Maybe you could ask and let us know.

I am so tired of the guilt tripping. If you smoke then you dont care about non-smokers. And if you eat delicious junk food then you dont care about people who are on a diet. And if you eat food that has sugar in it or milk in it then you dont care about people that cant eat those items. Etc etc. Sorry, but no one is responsible for your life except you. If you are so afraid to be around people and dont believe that your immune system or medications (that is if the govt wouldnt ban it for political reasons) will work then stay home and order food online. Dont force anyone else to walk on eggshells because you have anxiety over a disease that has over a 99% survival rate.

And for the record, you dont have to wear masks that have rhinestones, you can wear a mesh mask that looks like a regular mask and no one can tell the difference. I can’t stay home, I work in healthcare. You depend on me to help you when you are sick. FYI, my patient’s DD died last week of covid, (which also means that my pt. Was exposed) but it wasn’t you so who cares.

Nobody said stay home or walk on eggshells, just be a team player and follow the rules.

I second the kesnyc.com silk masks. They are very lightweight and have a pocket for a filter. There were some studies last year showing that a combination of silk and tightly woven cotton was fairly protective--for awhile I used a piece of quilting cotton as an insert. They also have a version that ties around the back of the head, which work better for me. We use the tie ones on their own and also over a n95 or surgical mask as well to help those fit better when we feel we need that (like in a crowded place, etc.). They also hand wash very well, line dry quickly, and keep their colors.

ETA: for disposables, I like these. They do not smoosh up right against your mouth, but provide good coverage. I think they get a little warm sometimes, depending on your activity level/how much talking, but still like them. https://shop.demetech.us/colle.....vel-3
